Psalm 145:3-6 Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. They will speak of your glorious splendor or your majesty, and I will mediate on your wonderful works. They will tell of hte power or your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds. NIV

"...and my words remain in you"

Proverbs 8:34
Blessed are those who listen to me,
       watching daily at my doors,
       waiting at my doorway.

When there is something so big, so challenging and so perplexing that it just overwhelms you, begin to realize you can't do it alone. John 15:5-8 says, “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.  Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.  But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!  When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

I was reminded of John 15:5-8,  every word is important here, and with every phrase I question myself. I CAN'T do it alone. He never intended for me to do it alone. I have to "remain" in Him and let His "words remain" in me and then change will occur. Pondering God's Words and over time becoming more like Christ is exactly what causes change and brings the Father glory.

Daniel answered, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever! For wisdom and might are His! He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding! He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him!
Daniel 2:20-22 (Amplified Bible)

  1. Hi Lettricia,

Oh how true your words and the verses you shared here. Thank you so much! You really touched my heart tonight. We have to realize that we can't do anything without him. I've been going through a tough valley right now and the Lord knows my heart and needs.

    God Bless you!

  3. Thank you Lettricia, I really appreciate it. Please continue to pray for me as we received some bad news yesterday about our furkid, Jake. We just lost our little one, Lucky in August and now we have news that Jake has bladder cancer. He also has more things wrong but the cancer has to be dealt with asap. The good news is that the tumor has been caught early enough where surgery would cure him of the cancer. The bad news is that we just don't have the money to pay for the surgery. My hubby lost his job will be 4 yrs ago in Jan so we just don't have the money. It's so hard with the Love we have for our animals because they are our kids. My heart is breaking and I have this guilty feeling of not having the money to cure him. Please pray for us at least for possible way to get some money somehow to make this possible. Losing our two dogs this close is just almost unbearable. Plus i have the other stuff I'm dealing with.

I'm sorry for writing so much and kind of "dumping" on you. I'm trying to stay strong in the Lord, but maybe that's part of the problem. I don't feel that I can just deal with this and be weak for a period of time.

thanks for listening. i didn't know where else to share this on your blog.
