Proverbs 8:34
Blessed are those who listen to me,
watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway.
watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway.
When there is something so big, so challenging and so perplexing that it just overwhelms you, begin to realize you can't do it alone. John 15:5-8 says, “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.
I was reminded of John 15:5-8, every word is important here, and with every phrase I question myself. I CAN'T do it alone. He never intended for me to do it alone. I have to "remain" in Him and let His "words remain" in me and then change will occur. Pondering God's Words and over time becoming more like Christ is exactly what causes change and brings the Father glory.
